My thanks for the feedback received on proposed changes to Kingdom Law. This has been sent to the Crown and will inform what They enact as a result. Such feedback is a welcome and valuable part of the process of governing this, your Kingdom.
I am in the process of expanding the Seneschallate team so that its workload falls on more sets of shoulders. This will become more important after I step down next Festival, as my successor is unlikely to have as much time available to offer to the role as I do.
Consequently, I have already appointed a Publications deputy, Lord Llywd, to look after the Seneschallate and Laws websites and various mailing lists. I've also assembled a team of people willing to help with the exacting and time-consuming investigations which have absorbed a fair chunk of my and Mistress Bethan's time in the past year.
They may be other deputy positions which have not been filled by the time Pegasus goes to print so, if you might be interested, please see http://lochac.sca.org/lochac/groups/posvac.html
Finally, SCA Inc. are about to commence a Society-wide survey in order to help guide their focus and planning for the future. One of our number, Lord Adair Mac Dermid, has been involved in the survey's creation and management. Details can be found here: http://sca.org/scacensus2010
At the time of writing, the survey is not yet open but, to ensure your voice is heard, do keep checking back there and/or keep an eye on Lochac-Announce and other mailing lists. Lochac has a history of being very well represented in Society-level polls, and there is every reason to continue this tradition.
