I think you used DMC cotton? Why did you choose that?

I did use DMC cotton because it was familiar to me. The silk seemed very thin and looked weird (it was actually my embroidery that was weird). After doing this project, I now know that it was a bad choice because the thread frayed and broke really easily but because I had already started with it I had to continue.

Embroidery pattern choice?

I used one of the ones from the Flying Monkeys site. 1534-11d . Being new to embroidery I thought that this one looked like it would be fairly easy.

How long did this take each of you

A couple of weeks. I was fairly slow but once I got over the worry that I wasn't as good at embroidery as everyone else, I got into the swing of it and enjoyed doing it.

Anything that you'd like to add

I would like to thank both Stanzi and Acacia for your patience in showing me what I was doing wrong and how to get it right. Not sure that it all sank in, but I will keep at it and one day produce some nice stuff I am sure.
