war
War is the time where the main objective of the event is one or more fighting opportunities for large groups of participants. It can be just a heavy battle or a combination of light and heavy combatants. There are specific rules for this type of group engagement. The sides may be drawn on a geographical basis, or by some quirky method such as flipping a coin. St Florian has a strong tradition of fighting households and tends to either fight battles as such or as a collective group called the St Florian Division.
There are effectively four War events that St Florian attends
Rowany Festival
Lochac's Premier Camping and War event held over Easter.
Cold War, hosted by the Barony of Rowany
Held over the Queens Birthday Weekend
Great Northern War
Our northern neighbour, the Barony of River Haven shares the responsibility in turn with St Florian to host this event. Each year, a series of war scenarios are chosen from history and sides and chosen on the day. Held mid August
Spring War hosted by the held by the Barony of Mordenvale
Held on the first weekend in October.
If you are interested in attending any of these events, we suggest that you contact the Baron and Baroness of St Florian de la Riviere for advice and assistance.
